So I love brussel sprouts. I didn’t always. But then I don’t know if I gave them a chance before I loved them. My first favorite recipe involved brown sugar and walnuts. Really, you can’t go wrong there. Then I moved onto a less sugar-coated, simply garlic and olive oil tossed and baked version. Also delicious.
Well sometimes I get bored with the usual. Not often. But sometimes and that happened this week. I started with my usual halved brussel sprouts and started throwing things into the pan. And these sweet little babies were born!
With the exception of a dash of salt and some garlic powder, these really only take 4 ingredients and can be thrown together in a jiffy! They would be excellent alongside chicken, fish, or beef! Perhaps something with an asian flare!
Paleo Asian Roasted Brussel Sprouts
What Goes In
2 cups Brussel Sprouts, halved
1 tbsp Sesame Oil
1 tbsp Coconut Aminos**
1 tbsp Sesame Seeds
salt, pepper and garlic powder to taste
What To Do
1. Preheat oven to 400. Prepare a baking dish or cookie sheet with aluminum foil. I use a baking dish and toss everything together in the dish. That way your dish is greased and you don’t dirty a bowl.
2. Toss all ingredients together (either in a bowl and spread out the brussel sprouts on the sheet, or in the baking dish).
3. Bake in the oven for 30-40 minutes or until desired tenderness. Stirring every 10-15 minutes. Enjoy!
